Competition & CORE Summer Programming
CORE Program
Our NEW CORE Program invites dancers in kindergarten through sixth grade to audition for our CORE Teams. This program is perfect for dancers seeking more: more performance opportunities, more dedicated teammates, and a deeper level of training to gain a competitive edge. Auditions will include tap, jazz, and ballet, and every dancer who auditions will be placed on a team for the 2026–27 school year season. *Dancers must be attending Kindergarten for the 2026-27 school year season to audition.
CORE Prep-Clinic
July 27th: 4:30 – 6:00pm
This prep clinic is open to all dancers auditioning for the first time. It’s designed to help your dancer gain confidence in an audition setting by walking them through the audition process and focusing on the techniques required: ballet, tap, and jazz.

CORE Auditions
July 28th – 29th: 4:30 – 6:00pm
Results will be emailed on Friday, August 14th. Dancers in the CORE Program do not attend the Competition Camp in August. A Parent Meeting for both our CORE and Competition families will be held on July 30th from 5:30 – 6:30pm.

Competition Program
Competition Teams are designed for more serious, committed dancers looking to compete and be a part of a team-oriented environment. Required auditions take place in August so that dancers can be placed on a team based on their skill level and age. Each season, dancers participate in three to four regional competitions, as well as a national competition on a rotating schedule. June Intensives
Master Week Intensive: June 15th - 18th
During this four-day intensive, students will be taught by experienced professionals and explore a variety of styles and techniques. Instructor lineup and pricing details will be announced at a later date.

Acro Intensive: June 22nd - 25th
Students will receive acro conditioning and training from our Acrobatic Arts certified faculty. To participate, students must have an Acrobatic Arts level assessment. If your dancer has not yet been leveled, please contact info@danceweststudio.com to arrange an evaluation.

July Drop-In Classes
July 6th - 23rd
*90 minute classes cost $36 OR 2 punches
Competition Auditions
In order to be considered for our Competition Program, dancers must audition. If you need help registering, email or give us a call!
If selected for one of our competition teams, REQUIRED COMP CAMP is August 17th – 20th. Dancers get a head start on learning choreography so it is imperative that all members of the team are present.
Auditions results and schedule for Comp Camp will be emailed on Friday, August 14th. A required parent meeting for both our CORE and Competition families will be held on July 30th from 5:30 – 6:30pm.
